This is a client-facing position combining sales, destination expertise, creative event development and project coordination. As a Destination Manager, you will take ownership of incoming enquiries, develop tailored event concepts and guide clients from the initial briefing through to project confirmation, working closely with our Request & Contracting and Operations teams.

Your Responsibilities

Sales & Client Relationship Management

  • Manage incoming client enquiries and act as the main point of contact throughout the proposal and pre-contracting phase.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with international clients, agencies and corporate partners.

  • Understand client objectives, budgets and expectations, translating them into compelling and commercially viable proposals.

  • Proactively follow up on opportunities, negotiate commercial terms and drive projects towards successful confirmation.

  • Identify opportunities for upselling, repeat business and long-term client partnerships.

  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-ups, CRM updates and clear communication of project status.

Creative Concept Development & Destination Expertise

  • Develop creative, tailor-made concepts for corporate events, meetings, conferences, incentives and brand experiences across Germany and the DACH region.

  • Research and recommend suitable destinations, venues, activities and event experiences based on client requirements.

  • Prepare engaging client presentations, itineraries and proposals that combine creativity with commercial feasibility.

  • Bring fresh ideas, destination knowledge and industry trends into the proposal development process.

  • Organise and accompany client site inspections, venue visits and destination presentations when required.

Project Coordination & Commercial Management

  • Coordinate the proposal development process in close collaboration with the Request & Contracting team, ensuring accurate quotations and competitive offers.

  • Monitor project budgets, pricing structures and target profit margins throughout the sales process.

  • Manage multiple enquiries simultaneously, prioritising opportunities and meeting client deadlines.

  • Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to ensure the feasibility and quality of proposed services.

  • Oversee commercial negotiations and support the contracting process until project confirmation.

  • Ensure structured and comprehensive project handovers to the Operations team following confirmation.

Your Profile

  • Previous professional experience in destination management, event sales, project management or account management, ideally within the DMC, MICE, events, hospitality or travel industry.

  • Strong understanding of corporate events, meetings, incentives and destination services.

  • A commercial mindset with a passion for sales, client relationships and converting enquiries into confirmed business.

  • Creativity and the ability to develop attractive, client-focused event concepts and presentations.

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage several projects and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Confident communication, presentation and negotiation skills.

  • A proactive, independent and solution-oriented working style with strong attention to detail.

  • Good knowledge of Germany as an event destination; familiarity with Austria and Switzerland is an advantage.

  • Experience working with CRM systems and Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Fluent English and German, both written and spoken. Additional languages are a plus.

  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally when required.

What We Offer

  • A responsible, client-facing position with the opportunity to independently manage exciting international projects from enquiry to confirmation.

  • The chance to develop creative event concepts and showcase some of the most exciting destinations and venues across Germany and the DACH region.

  • A diverse portfolio of international clients, high-profile corporate events and incentive programs.

  • Direct collaboration with experienced industry professionals and short decision-making processes.
